2007 GORD SUTHERLAND MEMORIAL RINGETTE TOURNAMENT
December 7-9, 2007
Please note:
All games will be curfewed at 53 minutes
Be ready to go on the ice 15 mins ahead of game time – in case we are running ahead
3 Minute warm-up
Leave car keys in exchange for dressing room key
Tournament rules will follow the guidelines of the ORA sanctioned rules as listed in the G & T Handbook

SHOT CLOCKS:
Shot Clocks will be used for Provincial Petite and Junior A games in this tournament.

GAME LENGTH:
All Games will be 2 periods, 15 minutes in length.

CODE OF CONDUCT:
As per the ORA Games and Tournaments operating manual.

Tournament Rules
  1. All ORA rules will be followed unless otherwise specified.
  2. All members of the bench staff must sign the game sheet 20 minutes prior to game time.
  3. Teams must be ready to go on the ice FIFTEEN MINUTES PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED GAME TIME. Failure to ice a team within 5 minutes of notification to begin the game may result in forfeiture of the game.
  4. Three minutes will be allowed for on-ice warm-up for all games. Time will commence when the ice resurfacing is complete and the doors are closed. Noncompliance will result in a delay of game penalty. Please do your part to keep the games and schedule on time.
  5. In the event of a goalie injury or the goalie receives a major or misconduct penalty, a maximum of 5 minutes will be allow to replace the goalie with an eligible team-mate.
  6. The 30-second shot clock will be used for Provincial Petite divisions and the Junior A Division.
  7. Tie will be broken as per the ORA guidelines for Ranking of Tied Teams, G&T Events Guide.
  8. Games tied at the end of regulation play will be handled as follows:
  1. In the event the goal spread of a game reaches 7 or greater, the clock will be set on running time during the second period only. The clock will revert to stop time if the goal spread is reduced to six or less.
  2. Flooding of the ice between games may be skipped, at the discretion of the tournament convener, if the schedule is behind.
